Carol Frances Nelson

Carol Frances Nelson, 89, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away, Friday, April 12, 2024, in Salem. 

She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on April 22, 1934, daughter of the late Carl and Elizabeth (Eurich) Radde. Carol was united in marriage to the late Charles “Chuck” Nelson on July 9, 1955, in Chicago, Illinois, and they were married for 69 years. During her working years, Carol worked as a bookkeeper. She loved farm life. Carol took hay to the cows, gardened, canned, and picked blackberries. She enjoyed the outdoors and fishing and boating on Lake Norfork. Carol was a member of the Salem Cumberland Presbyterian Church in Salem, Arkansas and a 50-year member of the Eastern Star.

Carol is survived by her daughter, Connie Jo Nelson of Salem, Arkansas; brother, Richard Radde and wife Carol of Estrero, Florida and eight nieces and nephews.  

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chuck Nelson; parents; two sisters and two brothers.
