Clifford Hughtan Pleasant, Sr.

Clifford “Cliff” Hughtan Pleasant, Sr., 85, of Salem, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on Thursday, May 29, 2025, in Salem.

He was born in Howard Ridge, Missouri, on June 27, 1939, son of the late Arthur and Eula (Poe) Pleasant. Cliff was united in marriage to the late Margaret Cole and from this union three children were born. During his working years, Cliff owned a gas distributing company. Cliff was a founding member of Salem Praise and Worship fellowship in Salem, Arkansas, where he loved being a greeter.

Cliff is survived by his sons, Clifford Pleasant, Jr. (Cheryl) of Salem, Arkansas and Tom Pleasant (Raylene) of Salem, Arkansas; daughter, Pamela Pleasant Bryant of Brighton, Tennessee; sisters, Linda Boss of Pueblo, Colorado, Wanda Baker (Jim) of Pueblo West, Colorado and Ruthie Popovich (Mike) of Pueblo West, Colorado; grandchildren, Crystal Pleasant, Sheryl Lynn Bryant, Trey Pleasant, Clint Pleasant, Chase Pleasant and Maggie Gamal; 14 great grandchildren and special friend and care giver, Brenda Skelton.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret Pleasant; parents; grandson, T.J. Pleasant; brother, Walter Pleasant and half-sister, Anita Pleasant.

Graveside services will be Saturday, May 31, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM at Salem Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Tom Doty officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:30 AM.
