Donna Lee Lockwood Mangis

Donna Lee Lockwood Mangis of Salem, Arkansas, daughter of the late Ed Emmett Lockwood and Mattie Marie Wheat, was born Apil 16, 1935, in Hanford, California. She left this world May 10, 2025, at the age of 90.

Donna was united in marriage to Donald Ray Mangis on August 2, 1951, in Seaside, California. Donna and Don enjoyed 57 years of marriage before his passing in November of 2008. Four children were born as a result of their union. Donna was a wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She received her Associate degree in Applied Science in Nursing in 1983 from Arkansas State University. As a Registered Nurse, Donna worked in the nursing field for 12 years.

Survivors include her children: Deborah Lee Branscum (Corbie), Donna Rae Mangis, Delynn Kay Kerr, and David Keith Mangis (Debra). Grandchildren: Tammy Lynn Lemon (Thomas), Stephanie Mangis, Melissa Mangis, Chucky Young (Raichel), and Andria Jorgenson. Great Grandchildren: Rebecca and Nathan Lemon, Adrian, Harmony, and Gage Young and Amelia Jorgenson. Donna had a host of other relatives and friends.

Donna was preceded in death by her husband, Donald; three grandsons; a sister; two brothers; son-in-law and her parents.

Donna was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed reading the Bible, crocheting, and taking care of her “fur babies.”

Pallbearers include: Adrain Young, Chuck Young, Sr., Chuck Young, Jr., Nathan Lemon, Thomas Lemon, Jr. and Joe Young

Funeral services will be Monday, May 12, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, with Rev. Bobby Coleman officiating. Interment will follow at Salem Cemetery in Salem, Arkansas.
