Donnie L. Sanders, 85, of Elizabeth, Arkansas, passed from this walk of life on Friday, April 3, 2026, in Salem, Arkansas.

He was born in Mitchell, Arkansas, on June 22, 1940, to James and Edna Sanders.

During his working years, Donnie worked as a telephone lineman. Donnie enjoyed hunting, fishing, and working on cars. He was always a great source of humor. Donnie loved his family and was always a great provider. He was of the Baptist Faith and a member of Cate’s Pond Church in Alton, Missouri.

He is survived by his loving companion, Loetta Ash of Alton, Missouri; grandchildren, Amanda Lowmiller, Theresa Harris and James Balentine; 5 great grandchildren; sisters, Polly York and Wilma Comstock and son-in-law, Dean Balentine. 

He is preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Belinda Balentine; brother, Owen Lee Sanders; sisters, Sharon McGuffey and Aldean Cantrell; sister-in-law and brothers-in-law.

Pallbearers include: Shane Ash, Stacey Ash, Gage Valasquz, Austin Harris, Dean Balentine and James Balentine

Funeral services will be Tuesday, April 7, 2026, beginning at 11:00 AM at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Jackie Dockins officiating. Visitation will be prior to the service at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery in Salem.
