Jeannette Mae Morris, 95, of Camp, Arkansas, passed away, Thursday, February 18, 2021 in Salem, Arkansas.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois, on June 4, 1925, daughter of the late Frank Julius and Anna Barbara (Kowalski) Dapke. Jeannette spent her life as a loving daughter, sister, wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. She was united in marriage to the late John Carl Morris in Chicago, Illinois on August 23, 1952. She was the proud mother of 8 children. Jeannette loved attending church at the Assembly of God Church in Salem, Arkansas and was a member of the Salem VFW Auxiliary 9777. She enjoyed reading and loved to read her Bible every day. Jeanette loved being outdoors; sitting on her porch watching the birds and squirrels and up until last summer she enjoyed mowing her lawn with her John Deere tractor.
Jeannette is survived by her daughters, Georgian Ford of Aurora, Illinois, Denise Weinstein of Roselle, Illinois, Michelle Finneran of Crystal Lake, Illinois, Tina Hollaway of Salem, Arkansas, Kimberly Moran of Salem, Arkansas, Jody Drake of Mount Lookout, West Virginia and Shorlyn Morris of Agnos, Arkansas; son, J. Mitchell Morris of Camp, Arkansas; 18 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John Morris; one grandson; three great grandchildren; parents; sisters, Frances Dixon, Florence Schmidt, Gertrude Dapke and Lillian Adams and brothers, Frank Julius Dapke, Jr. and Jerome Dapke.
Memorial services will be held at a later date.
