Jo Marie Taylor, 62, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025.
She was born in Greenville, Mississippi on August 18, 1962, daughter of Joseph Orr and Shirley Pike.
Jo Marie loved her children and grandchildren deeply. She found peace outdoors, where she lovingly cared for her plants and spending time with her dog. A strong, independent woman with a fiery spirit, Jo Marie knew Jesus and always spoke her mind. She loved music, and especially loved Pink Floyd, Dwight Yoakam, and ZZ Top. Her vibrant personality and love for her kids will always be remembered.
Jo Marie is survived by her sons, Phillip Michael Taylor (Erin) of Glencoe, Arkansas and Tony Hathaway (Brooke) of Indianapolis, Indiana; daughters, Davian Taylor of Cleveland, Mississippi and Lacey Jo Taylor (Logan Borgman) of Viola, Arkansas; brothers, Don Orr (Pat) and Jackie Orr (Cher); sister, Susan Holland (Carl); and grandchildren, Logan Hathaway, Brynlee Hathaway, Chloe Taylor, Jackson Taylor, Sophie Taylor, Bryson Taylor, Madison Marie Goeken, Drake David Goeken, Louis Alec Soliz, Clint Brewer, Kadance Brewer, and Keira Thompson.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Memorial services will be Sunday, August 3, 2025, beginning at 2:00 PM at Salem First Baptist Church in Salem, Arkansas, with Bro. Tyler Fox officiating.
Memorials may be made to Doty Family Funeral Services in honor of Jo Marie.
