John Vance Barnett, 58, of Paragould, Arkansas, passed away, Friday, May 8, 2026, in Jonesboro, Arkansas.

He was born in High Point, North Carolina, on January 21, 1968, son of the late Kenneth and Joyce (McCord) Barnett. John was united in marriage to Sharlene on October 22, 2002, in Jonesboro, Arkansas. During his working years, John worked in HVAC. He loved being outdoors, riding motorcycles and playing pool. John was just recently recognized by the American Poolplayers Association (APA) and was a member of The Fugarwe Tribe motorcycle club for 7 years.

John is survived by his wife, Sharlene Barnett of Paragould, Arkansas; sons, Bryson Barnett, Garrett Fletcher and Shane Spencer; daughters, Ashley Barnett and Valerie Freeman (Jeff); brothers, Dave Schrier and Dennis Barnett; 9 grandchildren; 7 great grandchildren and special friends, Colleen Bruner and Joy Accord.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A memorial will be held on Sunday, May 17, 2026, beginning at 1:30 PM at Lake Charles State Park in Black Rock, Arkansas, at the pavilion.
