Johnny "John" Harold Kuykendall, 80, of Violet Hill, Arkansas, passed away, Wednesday, May 14, 2025, at his home in Violet Hill.
John was born in Red Oak, Oklahoma, on October 8, 1944, son of the late Ethan and Faye (Adams) Kuykendall. John served our country in the United States Army. He was united in marriage to Donna Lee Kolb on August 2, 1968, in Reno, Nevada. During his working years, he was a welder, working in tool and die and as a fabricator before retiring from Boeing Aircraft. John enjoyed gardening, bee keeping, hunting, fishing, playing aggravation and watching his favorite football team, the Raiders. John loved two things most in his life, the Lord and his family. He was a member of St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas.
John is survived by his wife of 57 years, Donna Kuykendall; daughters, Kristine Rudes (Bryan) of Caufield, Missouri and Korina Grisham (Jimmy) of Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas; grandchildren, Jonathan Strauser, Taylor Clapp (Brandon) and Amanda Hurst (Blake) and two great grandchildren, Ady and Cainen.
He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Junior Kuykendall.
Pallbearers include: Jonathan Strauser, Blake Hurst, Brandon Clapp, Jimmy Grisham and Bryan Rudes
Funeral services will be Monday, May 19, 2025, beginning at 11:00 AM at St. Mary of the Mount Catholic Church in Horseshoe Bend, Arkansas, with Father Amal Punganoor officiating. Interment will follow at Harmony Cemetery in Wheeling, Arkansas.
