Margarette Sellers

Margarette A Sellers, 76, of Ash Flat, Arkansas, passed away, Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on March 24, 1950, in Corinth, Mississippi, to the late Bester McKewn and Dorothy Charlene (Killough) Ballard. She was united in marriage to the late Houston Sellers in Corinth, Mississippi, on November 28, 1968. Margarette loved camping, fishing, reading and writing. Margarette often wrote letters and would sometimes put a funny twist on her writing style. She had a wonderful sense of humor and was always a jokester. At Christmas she loved doing gag gifts and using an abundance of tape. She attended Ash Flat United Pentecostal Church in Ash Flat. Margarette loved her family and especially enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters and great grandchildren.

Margarette is survived by her son, Charles Sellers of Ash Flat; daughters, Leann Gambling and husband Travis of Viola and Barbara Sellers of Ash Flat; brother, Charles Ballard of Rienzy, Mississippi; grandchildren, Kristina Gann, Cassie Hutson and Destiny (Mason) Drouin; great grandchildren, Aydan and Eythan Burrows, Kaylee Roberts, Javan Franklin, Bentlee, Jace and Braeleigh Hutson and Haven and baby girl on the way Drouin; adopted sons, Lance (Gina) Gargus and Joey (Kristy) Leatherwood and adopted daughter, Rita (Frankie) Feliciano.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Houston Sellers; parents; sister, Gloria Jean Downs; great grandson, Stetson Drouin and great granddaughter, Alexis Rose Gann.

Pallbearers include: Cliff Burrows, Troy Roberts, Aydan Burrows, Travis Gambling, Freddy Gann and Josh Pardue.

Honorary pallbearers: Eythan Burrows, Jace Hutson, Bentlee Hutson, Braeleigh Hutson, Javan Franklin and Haven Drouin

Funeral services will be Monday, October 12, 2026, beginning at 2:00 PM at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at noon. Burial will follow in the Viola Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas.
