Norma Jean Foster

Norma Jean Foster, 91, of Joplin, Missouri, passed from this walk of life on Monday, January 9, 2023, in Joplin.

She was born in Viola, Arkansas, on December 22, 1931, daughter of the Homer and Daisy (Holstine) Knight. Norma was united in marriage to the late James Utah Foster on May 19, 1951, in Fulton County and they shared over 50 years together. She was a member of Bethel Pentecostal Church in Kansas City, Missouri. Norma loved to be outside doing yard work and gardening.

Norma is survived by her son, Leland C. Foster of Joplin, Missouri; grandchildren, Leland C. Foster, II, Christina Duley, Nathan Glasscock, Luke Glasscock; great grandchildren, Nick Foster, Tyler Duley, Easton Duley, Skyler Duley, Harlan Glasscock, Wilhelmina Glasscock, Shepherd Glasscock, Beaumont Glasscock, Maisie Jean Glasscock and son-in-law, Kenny Glasscock of Bella Vista, Arkansas.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. James Foster; daughter, Debra Glasscock; parents, Homer and Daisy Knight; brothers, Bill Knight, Roy Knight and Desmond Knight and sisters, Mary Martin, Oveil Creek and Eddie Knight.

Funeral Services will be held, Friday, January 13, 2023, at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas beginning at 2:00 PM with Bro. Tom Doty officiating. Interment will follow at Viola Cemetery in Viola, Arkansas. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 1:00 PM.
