Remona Beatrice Young

Remona Beatrice (Foster) Young, 92, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, passed away Wednesday, February 22, 2023, at Hospice of the Ozarks in Mountain Home.

She was born in Elizabeth, Arkansas, on July 22, 1930, daughter of the late Troy and Mildred (Marchant) Foster. Bea was the eldest of 10 children, thereby being a great help to her mother, Mildred. She learned many great qualities by helping her mother, which she used every day as a homemaker. Bea was a great cook, housekeeper, caregiver, had a kind caring heart and was a hard worker. Her and her husband, G.W., had three sons, Gary, Elmo and Roger. Bea was always willing to help her sons and other family members when they had a need. Her and G.W. moved from the Shawnee, Kansas, to Mountain Home in the 90’s where they enjoyed their life together until his death in 2005. After the passing of G.W., Bea became more involved in the South Congregation of Jehovah’s Kingdom Hall in Mountain Home. She began studying the Bible lessons, finding friendships and fellowship within the community, which was a great comfort to her.

Bea is survived by her sons, Gary Young of Sturkie, Arkansas; Elmo (Shirley) Young of Mission, Kansas and Roger (Mary Lynn) Young of Odessa, Missouri; grandchildren, Lavinia (Bryan) Ford of Kansas City, Missouri, Angela Watson of Kansas City, Kansas and Brent Young of Mission, Kansas; great grandchildren, Ashley, Kiesling, Caitlyn (Ryan) Warren, Rachel Kiesling, Duncan Ford, Braxton Young and Liam Young; many great great grandchildren; brothers, Gail (Barbara) Foster of Gepp, Arkansas, Jr. (Betty) Foster of Viola, Arkansas, Ed (Becky) Foster of Sturkie, Arkansas and Donnie Foster of Salem, Arkansas; sisters, Gwen Rowland of Sturkie, Arkansas; Shirley Holstine of Richmond, Kansas and Patricia Sobba of Sherwood, Arkansas; sister-in-laws, Audry Young of Olathe, Kansas, Sue Young of Flower Mound, Texas and Donna Foster of Sturkie, Arkasnas; brother-in-law, Carl Krug of Mountain Home, Arkansas; many nephews, nieces and cousins and friends of the South Congregation of Mountain Home Jehovah’s Witness Kingdom Hall.

She was preceded in death by her husband, G.W. Young; parents; sister, Mary Lou Conrow; brother, James Larry Foster; great grandson, Nathan “Nate” Kiesling and all of her husbands 13 siblings.
