Susan Winona Logsdon

Susan Winona Logsdon, 73, of West Plains, Missouri, passed from this walk of life on Friday, October 10, 2025, in Springfield, Missouri.

She was born on October 5, 1952, in Portland, Oregon, daughter of the late James and Shirley (Claspill) Rampton. Susan was united in marriage to Donald “Don” Logsdon in Searcy, Arkansas, on May 13, 1972, and to this union three children were born. During her working years, Susan worked as a Registered Nurse for 35 years with most of those years being spent as Director of Nurses for nursing homes. She took excellent care of the residents throughout her career and was a devoted nurse to the elderly. Susan belonged to the Moko Church of Christ in Moko, Arkansas. She was a shining example of a Christian. Susan and her husband Don spent many years as missionaries in Mexico, Alaska, South Africa, East Africa and Cambodia. She was kind, patient and an exceptional cook. Her family will always remember the many meals she made them. Susan enjoyed her vegetable garden and canning.

Susan is survived by her husband of 53 years, Don Logsdon of West Plains, Missouri; children, Toby Logsdon and wife Jenni of Huntsville, Alabama, Bob Logsdon and wife Sarah of Tulsa, Oklahoma and Sarah Renoud and husband Rhett of Gallup, New Mexico; grandchildren, Hannah, Caleb, Miriam, Samuel, Eliza and Anna and brothers, Bill Rampton and wife Christi of Naperville, Illinois, John Rampton and wife Banessa of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and David Rampton and wife Cheryl of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Pallbearers include: Brian Hollis, John Emery, Adam Kirk and Randy Hunt

Funeral services will be Wednesday, October 15, 2025, beginning at 10:00 AM at Moko Church of Christ. Visitation will be prior to the service beginning at 9:30 AM. Interment will follow in the State Line Cemetery in Moko, Arkansas.
