Velma W. Godwin

Velma W. Loux Godwin, of Beebe, Arkansas, daughter of the late James William Loux and Mertle Velma Smith Loux was born on October 10, 1919 in Vilonia, Arkansas. She died February 9, 2017 at the Beebe Retirement Center of Beebe, Arkansas at the age of 97 years 3 months and 30 days.
 
She was united in marriage to Johnny Floyd Godwin.  Three sons were born to this union.  She was a member of First Baptist Church, Beebe. Arkansas.
 
Ms. Godwin retired from Kellwood Inc. after many years. 
 
Survivors include: sons, Edgar (JoAnn) Godwin, Beebe, Arkansas and Dale Godwin, Sherwood, Arkansas. She had 6 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
 
She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, Johnny Floyd Godwin, and one son, Johnny Gale Godwin and her parents.
 
Pallbearers will be: grandsons: Eric Godwin, Aaron Godwin, John Godwin, Steve Godwin, Clint Godwin and C. J. Parker, grandson-in-law.
 
Funeral services will be Monday, February 13, 2017 at 10:00 am at First Baptist Church in Beebe, Arkansas with burial to follow at 2pm in the Agnos Cemetery, Agnos, Arkansas. 
Visitation will be Monday, February 13, 2017 from 9:00 am until service time at First Baptist Church.
