Vonda Minnie Cooper, 92, of Salem, Arkansas, passed away, Sunday, November 12, 2023, peacefully in the comfort of the home she built with her late husband Clyde Cooper.
She was born in Pennington Gap, Virginia, on March 30, 1931, daughter of the late Walter Tipton Robbins and Margaret (Kirk) Robbins.
Vonda Loved God above all and lived her life being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a courageous woman who stood for what she believed even if it was not the most popular. Many things she achieved in her life but none as important to her as keeping her family together and bringing others to the knowledge of the wonderful things God has done. Vonda loved gardening, crocheting, traveling, and family reunions. She was a hard worker and wonderful cook.
Vonda is survived by her son, Dennis Cooper and wife Dorothy; son-in-law, Gary Loyd; grandchildren, James Massey, Nora May Massey, Herbert Massey, Wanda Jones, Lisa Perry, Richard Benson, Louise Jones, Pam Owens, Stacey Whitson and Russell Cooper and more great grandchildren than we have ink.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Cooper; daughters, Roberta Massey and Colleen Loyd; grandson, JD Massey and parents.
A Celebration of Life will be held, Friday, November 17, 2023, at Doty Family Funeral Service Chapel in Salem, Arkansas beginning at 2:00 PM.
